Hydraulink – “Power Through Summer” Promotion & Competition Terms and Conditions (“Terms & Conditions” or “Terms”)

 

Promoter: 

The “promoter” of this special promotion & competition (“Promotion”) is Hydraulink Fluid Connectors Limited (“Hydraulink”).

Promotion & Competition Period: 

The Promotion runs from the 19th January – 28th February 2026 (“Promotion Period”). Entries received outside of the Promotion Period will be deemed invalid and ineligible to enter the Promotion or be awarded any prizes.

Entering the Promotion:

The Promotion may only be entered by accurately completing the entry form accessed via the QR code provided on our flyers and marketing materials. Your entry is subject to these Promotion Terms & Conditions. By entering the Competition, you are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.

You accept and agree that Hydraulink may change these Terms at any time, but the Terms that apply to any entry will be the Terms that applied at the time you enter the Promotion. You agree however that if Hydraulink cannot reasonably run the Promotion as planned for any reason beyond Hydraulink’s reasonable control, Hydraulink may cancel this Promotion without notice or compensation to any entrants.

Other Conditions of Entry: 

The Promotion is only open to New Zealand residents that are at least 18 years old at the time of entry and who have complied with these Terms. Employees of Hydraulink, Hydraulink’s agents, franchisee’s/ licensees and/or any related entities, as well as the immediate families of such employees of those parties, are not eligible to enter the Promotion. 

Regardless of which of the available methods you use to enter the Promotion, each entry must be supported by its own verifiable purchase of a new Hydraulink product or service during the Promotion Period. There is a limit of one entry per invoice relating to a verified purchase.

If the relevant eligible purchase was made using a genuine account with Hydraulink or related parties, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the holder of that account regardless of who submits the entry or names themselves as the entrant, and any prizes won as a result of the entry will be supplied to the relevant account holder, regardless of who submitted the Promotion entry. 

Hydraulink reserves the right to require proof of a qualifying purchase as a condition of accepting any Promotion entry or prior to awarding any Promotion prizes, and if you have entered multiple times, Hydraulink may require proof of qualifying purchase for each of your entries before accepting any of your entries as valid. Any additional entries by you which do not meet with Hydraulink’s requirements and/or these Terms will be deemed automatically disqualified and Hydraulink may in its absolute discretion disqualify all of your entries and/or your participation in the Promotion if Hydraulink believes you have:

  1. entered more than the allowed number of times; or
  2. submitted entries that are incomplete, incomprehensible, indecent, racist, inflammatory, defamatory, or which Hydraulink considers to be harmful to the goodwill and reputation of any party related to Hydraulink or their business activities or brands; or
  3. acted in a fraudulent and/or dishonest manner; or
  4. violated these Terms and Conditions in any way; or
  5. gained an unfair advantage in the Promotion by any means.

Prizes:

For eligible entries, the following individual prizes (“Prizes”) are available to be separately won in this Promotion:

  • 12 x DeWalt 18V XR Cordless Brushless Compact 2 Piece 5.0Ah (Kit) (“Spot Prizes”), each having an approximate retail value of $595.00 at the date of these Terms being prepared;
  • 12 x Kärcher Water blaster K 5 Premium Power Control (“Spot Prizes”), each having an approximate retail value of $899.99 at the date of these Terms being prepared;
  • 2 x Outdoor Power Equipment Packs (“Grand Prize”), consisting each of 1 x STIHL MS 271 18” Petrol Chainsaw, 1 x STIHL FS 70 R Petrol Brushcutter, 1 x Masport President 5000 AL S 19 Combo IC Petrol Lawnmower, 1 x STIHL HP Ultra - Two Stroke Engine Oil 1L, 1 x STIHL Synth Plus Bar and Chain Oil 5L, 1 x STIHL FUNCTION Basic Chainsaw Helmet & Ear Muffs, 1 x STIHL FUNCTION Chainsaw Chaps (size to be advised by winner), 1x STIHL EasyFile 2 in 1 Chainsaw File Guide, each pack having a total approximate retail value of $3,585.50 at the date of these Terms being prepared.

Prizes are non-transferable and are not redeemable for cash. If the whole or a part of a Prize is no longer available, Hydraulink reserves the right to substitute a Prize in its discretion to the same or similar recommended retail value.

Drawing and Awarding of Prizes: 

DeWalt 18V XR Cordless Brushless Compact 2 Piece 5.0Ah (Kit) Spot Prizes will be drawn from the eligible entries with one winner being selected from each of the regions listed below (and on the basis that the entry form completed accurately lists only one of the regions as the location of the entrant) at random by Hydraulink on the 2nd of February 2026. Kärcher Water blaster K 5 Premium Power Control Spot Prizes will be drawn with one winner being selected from each of the regions listed below (and on the basis that the entry form completed accurately lists only one of the regions as the location of the entrant) at random by Hydraulink on the 16th February 2026.

  • Auckland (Central and South)
  • Waikato & Coromandel
  • Bay of Plenty
  • Rotorua & Central Plateau
  • Taranaki & Whanganui
  • Gisborne & Hawkes Bay
  • Manawatu & Wellington

The Grand Prizes will be drawn with one winner from the North Island and one winner being selected from the South Island (and on the basis that the entry form completed accurately lists only one of the regions as the location of the entrant) at random on the 2nd of March 2026.  

Each draw is final as determined by Hydraulink, and no correspondence will be entered into.

If Hydraulink is unable to contact a winner and confirm the winner’s acceptance of the relevant Prize within 72 hours of the time of drawing that winner, Hydraulink may in its sole and absolute discretion decide to redraw the Prize and the original winner will forfeit the relevant Prize in its entirety and the Prize shall be redrawn. Hydraulink will have no liability to any party who does not respond to the email or telephone contact attempts and therefore forfeits their Prize, and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right to redraw the Promotion in the event that an entrant, who was initially deemed to be a winner, is unable to satisfy any of these Terms and Conditions.

Collection of Prizes: If you are confirmed as the winner of any Prize in this promotion, we will arrange to deliver the Prize to an appropriate Hydraulink agent location where you can collect the Prize, and you will be responsible for collecting that Prize from that location.

Disclaimers and Exclusions of Liability:

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and without any intention to limit a consumer's rights under the Fair Trading Act 1986 or Consumer Guarantee Act 1993, Hydraulink and its employees and agents makes no warranties or representation, either express or implied and expressly excludes all liabilities and warranties, including (without limitation) in respect or type, quality, standard, fitness or suitability for purpose of any Prize provided by the Promoter. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss, claim, damage, misadventure, accident or injury suffered by or to any person whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly related to, out of or in connection with the Promotion or any Prize. Without limiting the foregoing, Hydraulink assumes no liability and will not be responsible for any late, misdirected or incorrectly completed entries, or any technical malfunction, delay or loss of data that occurs in the course of the administration of the Promotion, however caused.

Privacy and Use of your Information:

Collection and Storage of your Personal Information: As certain information is required in order to effectively administer the Promotion, if you do not provide accurate information where requested, you may be disqualified from entry into the Promotion. Hydraulink will collect, use and hold your information in accordance with our legal obligations, including under the Privacy Act 2020.

Consent to use of Your Information:  By entering this Promotion, you agree to Hydraulink using your personal information. Hydraulink collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and conducting marketing activity in relation to the business activities undertaken by Hydraulink or its related entities. Hydraulink may disclose such information for these purposes to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors and service providers, and by entering the Promotion, you agree to receive further information from Hydraulink about its products, services and other offerings using any of the contact details supplied by you.

Right to request copies of your information: Participants have the right to request access to their personal information held by or on behalf of Hydraulink, and to update or correct any such information. All such requests should be directed to Hydraulink. 

Promotional Obligations: By accepting any Prize, the winner agrees to participate and co-operate with Hydraulink’s reasonable promotional activities relating to the Promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed, and the winner consents to Hydraulink using the winner’s name, likeness and image in any media (including without limitation on Hydraulink’s website and Facebook pages) without remuneration for the purposes of promoting the Promotion (including its outcome).

Release for Meta: You acknowledge and agree that despite any use of Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, or Oculus VR in the conduct or marketing of the Promotion, the Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta (the operator of those sites and apps), and is solely promoted and run by Hydraulink. You fully release and hold Meta harmless from any liability in relation to the Promotion.
