Hydraulink – “The Ultimate Top Fuel Experience” Competition Terms and Conditions

Promoter: 

The “promoter” of this competition is Hydraulink Fluid Connectors Limited (“Hydraulink”).

Competition Period: 

The competition runs from 1st April – 30th April 2023 (“Competition Period”).  Entries received outside of the Competition Period will be deemed invalid and ineligible to enter the Competition or be awarded any prizes.

Entering the Competition:

The competition may be entered by various means as described on our flyers and marketing for the competition.  Regardless of how you enter the competition, your entry is subject to these competition terms and conditions.

You accept and agree that Hydraulink may change these Terms at any time, but the Terms that apply to any entry will be the terms that applied at the time you enter the competition.  You agree however that if Hydraulink cannot reasonably run the competition as planned for any reason beyond Hydraulink’s reasonable control, Hydraulink may cancel this Competition without notice or compensation to any entrants.

Other Conditions of Entry: 

The competition is open to New Zealand residents that are at least 18 years old at the time of entry and that comply with these Terms and any Specific Terms.   Employees of Hydraulink, Hydraulink agents and related entities, as well as the immediate families of such employees, are not eligible to enter the Competition. 

Regardless of which of the available methods you use to enter the competition, each entry must be supported by its own verifiable purchase of a new Hydraulink product or service during the Competition Period. Limit one entry per invoice.

If the relevant purchase was made using an account with Hydraulink or related parties, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the holder of that account regardless of who submits the entry or names themselves as the entrant, and any prizes won as a result of the entry will be supplied to the relevant account holder, regardless of who submitted the Competition entry. 

Hydraulink reserves the right to require proof of a qualifying purchase as a condition of accepting any competition entry or prior to awarding any competition prizes, and if you have entered multiple times, may require proof of qualifying purchase for each of your entries before accepting any of your entries as valid. Any additional entries by you which do not meet will be deemed automatically disqualified and Hydraulink may in its absolute discretion disqualify all of your entries and/or your participation in the Competition if Hydraulink believes you have:

  1. a) entered more than the allowed number of times;
  2. b) submitted entries that are incomplete, incomprehensible, indecent, racist, inflammatory, defamatory, or which Hydraulink considers to be harmful to the goodwill and reputation of any party related to Hydraulink or their business activities or brands;
  3. c) acted in a fraudulent manner;
  4. d) violated these terms and conditions in any way; or
  5. e) gained an unfair advantage in the Competition by any means.

Prize:

The following individual prize (“Prize”) is available to be won in this competition:

  • A trip for x 2 to the Darwin Triple Crown including return airfares, 4 nights accommodation and event transfers, barramundi fishing tour, 2 nights in the Hydraulink Top Fuel Team corporate marquee for the Darwin Triple Crown Drag Racing Experience, 2 days in the Supercars Corporate Box for the Super Bikes & Supercars Experience, Hydraulink merchandise pack, pit garage tour, start line experience, and before and after event parties (“Prize”), valued over $13,000 AUD at the date of these terms being prepared;

Prizes and dates are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. If part of a Prize is no longer available, Hydraulink reserves the right to substitute a prize in its discretion to the same or similar recommended retail value.

Hydraulink will cater meals at events and breakfasts. Meals on travel days are the responsibility of the entrant.

Drawing and Awarding of Prizes: 

The Prize will be drawn at random by Hydraulink on the 1st May 2023 and the winner will be notified by 5th May 2023 once entry details and their purchase has been verified.

Each draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

If Hydraulink is unable to contact a winner and confirm the winner’s acceptance of the relevant Prize within 72 hours of the time of drawing that winner, Hydraulink may in its sole and absolute discretion decide to redraw the Prize and the original winner will forfeit the relevant Prize in its entirety and the Prize shall be redrawn.    Hydraulink will have no liability to any party who does not respond to the email or telephone contact attempts and therefore forfeits their Prize and no correspondence will be entered into. If the winner is unable to attend, on the dates of 15th – 19th June 2023, they must advise Hydraulink by the 19th May 2023, so the Prize can be redrawn.

The winner will be announced on the Hydraulink New Zealand social media pages and website.

The winner and guest may be required to complete waivers to participate in some of the activities and may be excluded from such activities if they choose not to complete the waiver.

Collection of Prizes:  If you are confirmed as the winner of any Prize in this competition, we will contact you to arrange all necessary travel arrangements.  

Disclaimers and Exclusions of Liability:

Subject to any applicable law that cannot be excluded, Hydraulink and its employees and agents will not be liable for any loss or damage or injury by or to any person whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the competition or the Prize. Without limiting the previous sentence, Hydraulink is not responsible for any late, misdirected or incorrectly completed entries, or any technical malfunction, delay or loss of data that occurs in the course of the administration of the competition, however caused.

Privacy and Use of your Information:

Collection and Storage of your Personal Information:  As certain information is required in order to effectively administer the competition, if you do not provide accurate information where requested, you may be disqualified from entry into the competition. Hydraulink will collect, use and hold your information in accordance with our legal obligations, including under the Privacy Act 2020.

Consent to use of Your Information:  By entering this Competition, you agree to Hydraulink using your personal information.  Hydraulink collects personal information in order to conduct the Competition and conducting marketing activity in relation to the business activities undertaken by Hydraulink or its related entities.  Hydraulink may disclose such information for these purposes to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors and service providers, and by entering the Competition, you agree to receive further information from Hydraulink about its products, services and other offerings using any of the contact details supplied by you.

Right to request copies of your information:  Participants have the right to request access to their personal information held by or on behalf of Hydraulink, and to update or correct any such information.  All such requests should be directed to Hydraulink. 

Promotional Obligations:  By accepting any Prize, the winner agrees to participate and co-operate with Hydraulink’s reasonable promotional activities relating to the competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed, and the winner consents to Hydraulink using the winner’s name, likeness and image in any media (including without limitation on Hydraulink’s website and Facebook pages) without remuneration for the purposes of promoting the competition (including its outcome).

Release for Meta:  You acknowledge and agree that despite any use of Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, or Oculus VR in the conduct or marketing of the competition, the competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta (the operator of those sites and apps), and solely promoted and run by Hydraulink.  You fully release and hold Meta harmless from any liability in relation to the competition.
